All Stars & Dynamos

Continuing on from last year's successful launch, again this year (2024) we will be running a hardball cricket academy for u-11s & u-13s boys and girls with the aim of continuing to help the children to improve their cricket skills.

These sessions will take place on a Wednesday for both age groups, most likely from 17:45-19:00. Also, on a Thursday from 16:30-18:00. All children who sign up will be on a rota to receive small group sessions in 2s or 3s in 30 minute slots. There will be a minimum of 2 coaches available so at least 12 children will get a small group session each week. This will be included in the price of signing up, for a fraction of what private lessons cost.

We have entered both the u-11s* and u-13s* in the Leadon Vale league and the u-13s* in the Gloucestershire Youth Cricket League (GYCL) (the GYCL matches to be played during the school summer holidays and are an addition to last year's programme). Players will be selected by the coaches from one big group for each team with priority mainly going to those who fit each age group. There will be players who want to play in both or step up in age group from time to time and the coaches will manage this through selection.

We are looking for match day volunteer managers, scorers and umpires for each team. U-11 games are mostly on Tuesday evenings and u-13 games usually on a Sunday morning. There will be other children who we open this up to, but numbers will be limited.
The cost for the season will be £75.
